Description
The Three River Parks District and Cadence Multisports are excited to introduce the first annual Liberty Triathlon. We welcome you to come and participate in this professionally organized and timed Olympic Distance event located within the beautiful and scenic Baker Park Reserve on Lake Independence.

The race will start from the sandy beaches of Lake Independence with a 1.5k swim in the lakes clear water. Participants will exit the water and traverse a short grassy stretch to the transition area where they will mount their bikes for a challenging and scenic out and back 40k ride through Baker Park Reserve and onto the rolling hills surrounding the community of Maple Plain. The race commences with a 10k paved trail run weaving through the wetlands of the Baker Park Reserve and Lake Katrina. The Liberty Triathlon is sure to be a great race for novice and seasoned triathletes alike.

This race is limited to 250 entries. Registration is open and you can register by mailing in a race registration entry form or register online at www.triathlete.com beginning February 1, 2005.

Swim Course
The 1.5km begins along the sandy beachs of the Baker Park Reserve on Lake Independence.

Bike Course
The 40km bike course is a challenging out and back the winds through the rolling hills of beautifull communities of Maple Plain and Independence, MN

Run Course
The 10km run is an out and back course along the banks of Lake Katrina
