Pros: The group canoe start seeded by MTB ranking makes it a fun challenge trying to out-paddle your competition. The trails are probably the best in Tennessee.

Cons: It takes awhile waiting for everyone to get bused up to the canoe put-in, but there are 275 racers or so, so it is understandable.

This race is fun! It is well organized yet not overburdened with stuffy rules. The bike course has a great variety of fast, tough climbs and technical parts. You get a lot for your money including a long-sleeve t-shirt and lunch. The first place trophies are to die for. And the food is good.
