Description
Melton Hill Dam and Recreation Area - Oak Ridge - TN. Melton Hill is located off of I-40. Race site is located 5 miles form the I-40 - I-75 Intersection and 10 miles west of Knoxville - TN.

Swim Course
A 1.2 fresh water swim in Melton Hill Lake. The projected water temp is 70-74 degrees. Last year because of rain we had a water temp of 67 degrees.† Swim Cut-off is 1 hour and 15 minutes after the start.

Bike Course
A 56 mile 2 times out and back bike course along rural Tennessee Roads. Cyclists will pass by the boundaries of the once Top Secret US Atomic Energy Land and ride along Melton Hill Lake & Dam for a portion of the ride.

Run Course
The 13.1 mile run course will be one loop consisting of a few hills but mostly flat rural roads. Aid stations will be placed every mile along the course. Each station is buffet style with water, ice, fruit, bagels, pretzels and more!

Although the race still has a few details to improve on, this is an unbelivably awesome race venue for a 1/2 IM! The swim is clear, the bike course has great roads with plenty of climbing to do and some steep downhills, and the aid stations are the best!!!
