Sprint Triathlon: Saturday, September 8, 2007: Mighty Mississinewa Triathlon
Swim 500 yards, Bike 16.6 road miles, Run 4 miles

Start Time: 8:30 a.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time
Packet pickup – Sept. 7, 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Onsite check-in and late registration 7:00 to 7:30 a.m.
Cash or Check only, no credit cards
Mandatory safety meeting 7:50 a.m.

on 500 S in Miami Recreation Area

Course Info:
Swim 500 yards in Mississinewa Reservoir, begin and finish at the beach.
Bike 16.6 miles on lightly traveled county roads around the reservoir with scenic views.
Run 4 miles Old Frances Slocum Trail Road and Moswa hiking trail – well groomed.
The event staging and parking areas will be at the beach pavilion.

Also offered:
8:10 a.m., Free Kids Fun Run for ages 10 and under and for ages 11-14,
on-site registration, awards, ¼ mile on sidewalks and pavement near beach,

Mississinewa Reservoir is located in north central Indiana, 65 miles north of Indianapolis, 65 miles northwest of Muncie, 65 miles east of Lafayette, and 65 miles southwest of Ft. Wayne

Swim Course
Start and finish at the beach and swim an inverted 500 yard "U" shape in Mississinewa Lake. Very well marked.

Bike Course
Ride a loop once, crossing the lake twice. . Roads are paved in good shape and slightly rolling. No back tracking.

Run Course
Combination road and trail with a small amount of light hill work.
